Amrish Patel is a wealth management professional and business consultant with almost two decades of experience in the financial services industry.
Amrish graduated from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1982. VJTI, an engineering college located in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia. He also completed graduate work from the Dahanukar Institute in Industrial/Operational Management and then immigrated to the United States in 1983. After completing an additional master’s degree program in Industrial Engineering from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, Amrish then moved to Phoenix, Arizona to accept a position at Intel Corp.
While at Intel, Amrish worked as an Engineer and Supply Chain Manager responsible for multi-millions in budgetary contracts, engineering solutions and cost reduction programs. Amrish often used his deep knowledge of investments vehicles to assist in solving supply chain problems across a global network of Intel suppliers and manufacturers. After a successful 17-year career, he decided to follow his passion for financial services.
Amrish began his career in Financial Services in 2001, when he joined the Merrill Lynch Private Wealth Management Group in Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona. After providing comprehensive wealth management solutions to high net‐worth retail and institutional clients for five years, he founded Global Wealth Strategies in 2006, a comprehensive boutique financial services firm that focuses on advising professionals in the healthcare, technology and hospitality industries.
Amrish pioneered the “Financial Engineering” model to provide a one‐stop ensemble of trusted, personalized investment and wealth management services for high net-worth individuals and businesses. He also introduced the “C.A.R.E.” model of Health and Wealth with a focus on the medical professional industry. In addition, he created the “GWS Alpha Advantage”, a comprehensive program of adding alpha to a client’s portfolio using financial engineering and a holistic global investment approach for exemplary portfolio performance.
Amrish's successful use of financial engineering to optimize strategies to meet and exceed his client’s lifetime expectations is only surpassed by an unassuming and calm demeanor that engenders trust with clients of all ages. He is a staunch supporter of multi‐generational wealth management decisions where clients of all nationalities are comfortable using his estate planning techniques and asset protection strategies. In addition, his partnering with CPAs, Estate Attorneys and other tax professionals allows him to act as the linchpin coordinator to customize solutions for all his client’s needs.
Amrish is extremely passionate about providing personalized financial solutions to individuals and their businesses. He is often a guest speaker at national financial conventions, presenting on the topics of estate planning, asset protection, investment diversification, business growth and business acquisition/exit strategies. Amrish is an active member of the Indian Community and a follower of AZ India Times. Professionally, he is actively working with the Indian Physician Community and AAPI, American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.
Amrish has two sons in college, one in Berkeley and the other a recent graduate from Harvard Medical School. He and his wife reside in Chandler, AZ and enjoy travel, cricket and spending time with the local Indian community and their charities. Amrish is committed to acquiring the knowledge of Ayurveda and practices YOGA and PRANAYAM (Breathing) exercise routinely.
