Lance Hashim brings over 15 years of Financial Services experience to the GWS team. He specializes in protection strategies, retirement plans and business development. In addition, Lance is also responsible for the technology and operations for the GWS group.
Lance grew up as a world citizen. He was born in Sri Lanka, lived in Saudi Arabia, and attended boarding school at Marlborough College in England. He also attended college on the east coast of the US and later in Arizona where he obtained undergraduate degrees in Architecture, Environmental Engineering and Software Engineering. Later, Lance continued his education by completing an MBA and a graduate certificate in Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. Lance previously worked as a project manager on global initiatives for companies, such as Hewlett Packard and Sony before he transitioned into the financial services industry. It was here that he came to enjoy making a difference in people’s lives by helping them create financially stable legacies not only for themselves but their future generations.
Lance’s financial service experience included working at New York Life Insurance Company and then as an independent producer. This previous experience, coupled with his global perspective and his experience in technology, marketing and business development brings a combination of skills that aid in crafting unique strategies for the GWS team and their clients.
When not working, Lance is busy being a dad to his 11-year-old daughter, who keeps him challenged yet grounded. He also enjoys travelling internationally to visit family and friends spread across the globe, including as far away as Australia. His personal interests include photography, health and wellness, DIY projects and working with charitable and business organizations as a volunteer and/or member. He is currently pursuing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Designation as a personal achievement goal.
“My goal is to provide each client with a clear path to achieving their financial dreams.”
